What is dnnExperts.FAQ?

It is a FAQ management module based on the core DNN FAQ module. This version adds the following functionality:

Client side expand/collapse events
HTML text enabled for questions and answers
FAQ categories
Visitor submissions
Published status (visible / not visible)
Control over the expand/collapse image
CSS control for the presentation of categories, questions, and answers.

How does this work?

Thwe module uses the ClientAPI built into DNN to controlt he expand / collapse click event for the +/- image

It is the same model as built into the SectionHeadControl.ascx available to any DNN developer.

How many categories can be added?

There is no pre-set limit to the number of categories. However, currently it is only one level deep (no sub-categories of categories yet).

Can the categories be configured to initially display collapsed?

I plan on adding this as an enhancement in the near future as well as an expand all/collapse all option.

Important query re this usercontrol!

I have downloaded the source , but I do not find the .vb files. Are they not included and if so what is the 'Source' being refereed to? Obviously, I am interested in looking at the source, only for learning the approach. Is there any other document published by you explaining the approach? Thanks. Regardss
